The overflow relief gully at this property was overflowing with wastewater and wet tissues. We were called to inspect what was causing it. Our drain inspector ran a CCTV inspection of the drain and found tree roots inside the drains. We cleared the tree roots and replaced the drain pipe section where the tree roots had intruded. Once the tree roots were cleared, all the waste accumulated in the overflow relief gully moved back through the drainage pipe with ease.
